General Warranty Information:

Our company offers warranty on some of our products. The period of the warranty is show on each product where it is applicable. Our warranty covers the mechanical parts ONLY! VAGTEX is NOT responsible for ANY labour expenses, either for repairs,removing or installing any parts or products! If you need more info about our warranty, please contact with us!


VAGTEX distributes a broad range of automotive replacement products. Our reconditioned engine line includes gasoline and diesel engines for German automobile brands Audi and Volkswagen.

We would appreciate the opportunity to verify that the engine you are interested in is correct for your vehicle BEFORE you purchase. Please contact us by our Toll Free number 855-666-0052 and we will work with you to see if it is correct for your vehicle. We will need your vehicle's year, make, model, engine size, transmission type, body type and/or VIN. We have found that a quick vehicle verification can save both time and money for everyone.

Shipping charges for delivery of your engine are non-refundable and return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.


Warranty does NOT cover labor costs

Engine warranties are limited to manufacturing defects in the Engine Block, Cylinder Head(s), Head Gasket(s), Crankshaft, Pistons, Rods, Bearings, Oil Pump, Camshaft(s), Valves & Lifters.

All engines DO NOT include additional accessories and extra parts such us a starter, alternator, steering pump, turbocharger, A/C compressor, plastic engine covers, ECU, coil pack, distributor or throttle bodies. If included these parts are sold AS-IS with NO WARRANTY and were included to help protect the engine during storage and shipping.  All engines are sold as a long block, all other included components (if there is any) are considered convenience items and are not covered by our warranty.

Installation Check List:

(Failure to complete the following will void Warranty)

- Determine why the original engine failure occurred and make appropriate repairs.

- Insure this engine is the same application as the one being replaced.

- Clear all computer diagnostic codes from the vehicle prior to installing.

- On crankshaft bolts that are drilled through sealant must be applied to avoid leaks.

- Install new thermostat & gasket (warranty will be void if engine heat tab is melted or removed)

- Remove all "cap-plugs" orifice covers.

- Install replacement sparkplugs & wires.

- Exchange the flywheel and bolts.

- Exchange attached accessory items to insure proper fit (mounts, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, distributor, sensors).

- Disable fuel/ignition before attempting to start engine. This will allow the oil to prime as indicated by the manufacturer.

- Replace engine oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filters, coolant-antifreeze.

- Drain excess oil and coolant from exhaust system.

- If equipped with an engine oil cooler the radiator or external cooler must be replaced.

- Insure the cooling system is flushed and functioning properly.
